About Us
We provide specialized rehabilitative services to our patients in the communities we serve. We often see patients who are recovering from disabilities caused by injuries, illnesses, or chronic medical conditions.
Community Commitment
At Utah Valley Specialty Hospital, we are committed to being good neighbors and responsible corporate citizens to the communities we serve. We do this through not only the healthcare services we provide, but through our dedication to philanthropic support throughout the area. Locally, we are involved with:
• Utah County’s Professionals for Seniors
• Provo/Orem and Lehi Chambers of Commerce
• Utah Valley Stroke Association
And sponsor events throughout the year including:
• Utah Parkinson’s Disease Association’s, Play your Part Gala
• Strides for Stroke
• Saving Strokes Golf Event
• Utah Valley Stroke Association’s Dinner and a Movie
• Strike Out Strokes
The hospital also provides a wellness program to individuals with Parkinson’s disease. This program includes; Parkinson’s specific exercise sessions and adapted Yoga classes. The facility also offers senior fall prevention at local senior centers and community recreation centers.
Support Groups
In addition, we offer support groups for patients and caregivers to expand treatment and to allow those with common challenges to share experiences, explore resources, encourage one another, and to help teach each other how to best navigate their circumstances.
Currently, we provide meeting space for:
Parkinson’s Support Group — provides services to the individuals who live with Parkinson’s disease, their family members and caregivers.
Multiple Sclerosis Society events – Provides support through in-service instruction for healthcare providers and individuals who have Multiple Sclerosis.
